MOMS Offering Moms Support

The MOMS Club® began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home.  She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with.  When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and pre-schooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers – and MOMS Club® was born.

The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club too.  Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start Chapters across the country and around the world!  Now there are over 2,000 chapters with over 100,000 members.

I am excited that you are thinking about joining The MOMS Club® of Clackamas/Happy Valley, Oregon.  We have a great chapter serving the Clackamas/Happy Valley area with a variety of activities for Stay-at-Home, Work-at-Home, and Part-time Working Moms.  We offer regular Meetings (Speakers, Crafts, etc.), Field Trips (Zoo, Pumpkin Patch, etc.), Mom's Night Out events (Movie Nights, Dinner, etc.) and of course Playgroups and Get-Togethers.

We have such an amazing group of women – very diverse, and yet with the same priority of raising their children.  I’ve made some very close friends through MOMS Club®, and have watched my children develop friendships and connections to the community. We might be in different phases of this ride called Motherhood, but we are all in it together and support each other!

We also participate in a variety of Service Projects throughout the year.

It’s not easy to be a Stay-at-Home Mom, but we all value this time in our kids’ childhood that we will never be able to get back.  Come share the journey of Motherhood with us!
